Miss Dior, indeed! Jennifer Lawrence cut a stunning figure at the 2014 Academy Awards on Sunday, March 2, when she hit the red carpet at L.A.’s Dolby Theatre in a sleek, glamorous gown by the French fashion house.
The American Hustle star — who’s up for Best Supporting Actress against Lupita Nyong’o, among others –looked slim and elegant in her bright red Dior dress, which featured a peplum-like ruffle around her hips. She also wore a Neil Lane diamond necklace.
Lawrence has been one to watch all awards season. She first made her mark at the Golden Globes in January, when she hit the red carpet in a polarizing white Dior gown. A week later, at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, she stunned in a form-fitting sequined number by the fashion house.
The Hunger Games star also memorably wore Dior to last year’s Oscars, where she famously (and endearingly) tripped up the stairs en route to accept the Best Actress trophy for Silver Linings Playbook. Speaking about that gown in a recent behind-the-scenes video for her Miss Dior campaign, Lawrence said, “I saw a picture of it from the runway, and it was just the most beautiful dress I think I have ever seen.”
