It’s definitely a happy holiday season for the folks at Lionsgate, as “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” has burned up the box office for the past five weeks.

So far, the Jennifer Lawrence flick has brought in a total of $765 million in global ticket sales, putting the movie studio past the $1 billion mark for 2013 in both domestic and international categories.

CEO Jon Feltheimer noted, “Our strong box office performance for the second year in a row, domestically and internationally, underscores the consistency of our film slate and is a testament to the tireless efforts of our entire motion picture team.”

Along with “Catching Fire,” sleeper hit “Now You See Me” ($352 million) helped Lionsgate post great numbers.
