The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence has admitted that she does not find fame appealing.

The actress – who plays Katniss Everdeen in the film series – recalled to Vogue UK that she was terrified of how her life would change on the day The Hunger Games was released.
“I was really upset the day that The Hunger Games came out. I was shaking all day wrapped in a blanket,” she admitted, adding: “[I remember a friend saying,] ‘Dude, have you seen what they’ve done to Britney Spears?'”

Lawrence further explained that she now has a more relaxed attitude towards celebrity, but does take the responsibility of fame seriously.

“There’s a responsibility I’m aware of… In one sense, luckily, it comes naturally because I don’t stay out beyond midnight,” she noted.

“I don’t really have an exciting life… It’s funny, my friends were joking about how I was so not the person who’s in charge of taking turns to go in the hot tub. I just appear that way.”The star recently suggested that celebrities are treated much better in the UK than they are in the US.

Lawrence returns to the role of Katness Everdeen for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, released in cinemas in November 2013.
